Work Experience |
After graduation
in Electrical Engineering (1968) worked as a JE in FACT
for more than a year joining the IAF as a commissioned officer
in 1969. After more than 35 years of service, he retired
as an Air Vice Marshal in Jan 05. At the time of retirement,
he was the head of the technical and logistics branch of
Eastern Air Command. At that time, around 35 Chief Engineers
and Chief Logistics officers were reporting to him. Important
assignments of the Air Marshal included, amongst others,
Chief Engineering Officer of a leading fighter station,
Chief Research and Project Officer, Director of Armament
at Air HQ and the head of the technical and logistics branches
of Eastern and Southern Air Commands. In addition to the
maintenance experience of a large number of aircraft, the
Air Marshal has vast experience in higher level technical
and logistics management, inventory and asset management
amounting to crores of rupees, international contract drafting,
monitoring of contracts and their implementation, testing,
evaluation and procurement of high end technical equipment,
large project management and their implementation, and budget
monitoring and control; In addition he was also involved
with technical skill development, training and other aspects
of HRD of large number of personnel. He has traveled widely
within and outside India. Presently he is the Chairman of
TECHNICHE INTERNATIONAL- an engineering consulting company.
He is also the Chairman of the Mediation Council of India. |
